Pancake Breakfast - A Swedish Pancake Breakfast with part of the proceeds to benefit Luvability Ministries will be held at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church, 225 E. Haney Ave. in South Bend, on Saturday, September 20 from 8:00 - 10:00 am. Free will offering for all the pancakes you can eat.

Emergency Food Pantry

Food Pantry Hours

Normally our Food Pantry is typically open Monday and Friday 10:00 a.m - 2:00 p.m. It is highly recommended that you call first to make sure that both staff and a supply of food are available. 574-291-4909574-291-4909 Please note: we can help families once a month, and a photo ID is required.  

Donations needed: We are always grateful for any donations that are given to the Deacon Food Pantry. Any non perishable food items accepted as well as paper goods, cleaning supplies, and personal hygiene items.

 
All Church Bonfire

bonfireEveryone is invited to an “All Church Bonfire” to be held on Sunday, September 21st at the Youngen’s, 6160 Oak Rd., South Bend. The party will begin at 5:30 p.m.  The church will provide chili, hot dogs, and beverages.  We are asking people to bring, buns, crackers, condiments, chips, veggies, fruit, desserts, etc. There is a sign up sheet at the Information Station for you to let us know what you will be bringing.  Please bring lawn chairs to set around the fire.  Please mark your Response Tab in the bulletin if you are planning to attend.  Also, we have several people who need rides.  If you need a ride or could provide transportation please mark your Response Tab.
