- We believe that God is holy and worthy of our adoration and praise, and we value worship of God both as a gathered body and as individuals.
- We believe that the Bible is God’s Word, and is the foundation for our faith and practice, and we value both individual and group study of the Bible with the intent of applying it to our lives.
- We believe that individuals were meant to live in fellowship with God, and we value prayer as a vital communication link with Him. We value intercessory prayer as a responsibility of believers for each other and the world.
- We believe that through Jesus we can become members of God’s “Forever Family,” and we value maintaining a loving Christian family atmosphere.
- We believe in obeying the Great Commission (Matthew 28:19-20), and we value reaching out into the community through need-meeting programs (e.g. youth, disabled, and all generations).
- We believe that as Christ-followers we are meant to grow to become more like Jesus, and we value individual spiritual growth that occurs in partnership with the Holy Spirit and in groups with others. (discipleship, small group ministry, journey path, mentoring program).
- We believe that God has entrusted Christ-followers with spiritual gifts, natural abilities, financial and other resources, and we value good stewardship of those resources.
- We believe that God calls and empowers individuals for ministry with in the congregation and mission in the world, and we value the equipping and training of Christ-followers for leadership and ministry.

The Brethren Church accepts the Bible as God’s written Word and endeavors to base its faith and practice on the teachings of the New Testament. We have no written creed; but we have formulated some basic understandings of what that means. They are described on our denominational web site. |
